Halpern is good people. He is one of maybe three to ever see the NHL from the CBHL (Capital beltway Hockey League or now Chesapeake Bay Hockey League) and he supports it a lot. When he was with the Caps he helped out with club and house teams all the time. He actually helped my cousin's kid and some of their friends with skating after a Navy Hockey camp once.

Peter Bondra and Joe Reekie were also very involved. Good peoples too.
