I see the Holiday Bowl as an aberration.
Arizona had no idea what offense they were gonna see, therefore nothing to prepare for while NU had 3 weeks to practice it.
Defensively NU had plenty of film to know what Arizona was gonna do..

ok. He wasn't good last year AND got beat out in camp.

Sure looks like Fumbiliyah is doing light years better than Lee so far.

Give me a break. Theres no way you can say that Lee should not have been given at least a shot in that last game. Hell, he should have at least played a bit in the first 3 games as well.

Lols.

Zac Lees 2010 stats
3 for 4 for 45yds rating of 169.50
Last year Lee completed 58% of his passes for 2100 yds and 14 TDs with 10 INTs for a passer rating of 126.89.

See I can do that too?
Cody Green also fumbled the ball TWICE in 2 snaps in the Washington game.
It's amazing how big of a grudge some people have against Lee.
He isn't number 1 but he sure as hell should have gotten a few more snaps this year than he has.

Lee was the transition QB. He got the nod by default last year and was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.

He's not the guy to consistently run a zone read..

Maybe Lee's surgery didn't go well and he doesn't have anything left in his arm. When he played this year; his passes were low or hitting the ground (not that's unusual mind you; but he can't blame the torn tendon or whatever). He never was much of a runner so off to the bench you go...

The direction we are going with this offense, we must have a mobile QB..........or at least a magician

Most teams that have a running type QB usually do very well but they also must have the pass attack, I hate to say the #ebow word, but he did it very well even with an arm that was complete junk, now look at him in the NFL. I don't want us to get so dependent on just Martinez running the damn draw every play again, even though most defenses would love that, so that way they dont have to play very hard and just stand around the LOS

There were many other reasons for our offense sucking last year.

That's not a justifiable reason why Lee is 3rd string this year.

Zac Lee is 3rd string only because he is a total puss, has no heart in the team,Cody Green and T-Mart are way above his level of play.
the coaching staff knows this and it is very apparent of this
quit sucking on Lee's dick calhounhusker will ya -- it is almost embarassing

Martinez has been inconsistent in the passing game. If SDSU can shut down the Martinez zone read so can any team we will face. He needs to be able to burn people with is passing attack also or we need to find someone who can.

I think Green has potential but he is still young. I am just not sure we are that much better at QB then we were last year. Lee did not look too bad through the first 4.

Not sucking his dick by any means. I just don't see a reason why Green is second string at this point. Green didn't look good last year and he sure as hell doesnt this year. Not just because of the 2 bad throws against SDSU, its the fumbles, it's the lack of any poise in the pocket. He just has not looked good. My only point as I stated above is theres no reason that Lee should not have gotten at least some mop up duty in the games other than the first. Especially the last as Green wasn't getting it done as a backup either.

I think Lee is only third string by chart. ie..If not desperately needed Nebraska is going to take the opportunity to develop Green in back-up roles. Face it Lee is not head and shoulders above the rest and he is a senior.
I believe if Martinez were to go down with injury we'd see Lee over Green. NU would revert back to 'just manage the offense' and don't fuck-up role.

Personally, I havent ever seen Green in a starting role. I just don't think he will ever be in the picture.
