One quick question..........who said that we're going to lose 3-5 games this season???

I don't think anyone did. I personally believe Nebraska won't lose any games.

Every Husker fan has the right to feel and act as thy desire! What people (fans) feel is no more then an extension of how the team and coaches feel (in most cases).

I can tell you that our team went out yesterday totally flat, totally thinking all they had to do was show up. SDSU was prepared, they have been pointing to this game since last year. (Instant National Recognition) if they could upset Nebraska and they laid it on the line.

Martinez, well... he is young and after hearing he was the next best thing to apple-butter by the press, he bought in. He went out and tried to live up to the hype, rather then to play his game and have fun doing it!

It was (in no way shape or form) all his fault; we were out hustled all over the field (man for man). Who does this fall on? Bo and crew. It's not like they did not practice this past week, but I believe they (like normal humans) were mentally preparing for conference play, after all, they just slammed Washington at their own stadium where prognosticators felt they would win by less then a touchdown! as much as Coaches preach that they (players and coaches do not look ahead), the reality is, deep inside they do!

I am not making any excuses for the way they played; I am however saying that this was not a bad thing to happen to us at this time! It brings reality in the old saying "On any given day your opponent can beat you if you’re not prepared"

The question is, will they learn from this and be better and stronger because of it?

Only time will tell, but I think you already have a good feel for how Bo and company will address it!

"Next best thing to apple butter"? Is that supposed to be a compliment? Is apple butter really the best thing? Is apple butter what took over for sliced bread as the best thing? What was the best thing before sliced bread? Was sliced bread really that great, I mean it really isn't that hard to slice your own bread? I personally think remote controls, football, boobs, sharpies, and a few other things are much better than sliced bread and apple butter.

Yes, that quote is the only thing I got out of you whole comment. :D

If anything this game should have humbled everyone that has anything to do with the product on the field. Outside of that I'm pretty well speachless other than to say I wish I could have givin everyone I know a 20 pt spread. I'd be rich rght now. :)

As long as they learn from this game it will be ok. Everyone is bound to have an off game and fortunately for us it fell this week when we could have an off game and still come out with a W.

how the fuck can anybody say Cody did terrible.

i'm neg repping that shit.

kid threw 2 fucking passes

2 passes... to two wide open WRs.

Very badly thrown balls.

Martinez did no better, though I'm not sure why Lee wasn't put in to try and move the ball since we couldn't with Green or Martinez.

I don't know why they did not at least give him a shot. Green was not doing anything

If we gave up every time our QB missed on his first too passes, we wouldn't win very many games....

I just figured they pulled Martinez b/c they thought we had the game in hand late so they could give both 2nd and 3rd string a try. I dont think they pulled Martinez b/c how he was playing I think they pulled him b/c they game was in hand.

I'm sorry, you are a Div IA QB and you should be able to make an easy throw to a wide open 6'3 WR.

My point is, he was 2nd string, he had a couple chances to make drives. He did not. Why not throw in Lee who has starting experience and see if he can do anything? It's obviosuly not going to hurt anything seeing as nobody else could move the ball.

I do agree that he should make those throws, but because he missed does not make him terrible..

there is a reason Lee is third string.

Well I am sorry for freaking on you guys. Just trying to blow off a little anger while I was reading people being scared about losing a ton of teams (not on these boards). I have never been scared of any team and after texas lost and K-state struggled LOL. I am for sure not scared at all.

I haven't seen that reason yet.

Is Lee our best option at QB? No. Is he third string? I don't believe so. Green has failed almost every time he has been put in this year. There has to be another reason for Lee not playing.

see last year.

Pay special attention to the Pacific Life Holiday bowl last year while the O-line was healthy.

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens when we meet a stout defense. That's when the true test will begin.
