There used to be a amusement park right outside of Orlando called Boardwalk and Baseball. They had one of these on display:

I used to just stand there and stare...

And dude, the barber I used to go to during Summers at th Jersey Shore had one on the wall, touching the ceiling. Eventually moved it over to a glass cabinet, but man did I want it.

I have a Michael Jordan card from when he played for North Carolina...........in absolute mint condition. It's in a glass case. I've never had it appraised.

I have another Jordan card in a glass case that is worth a couple hundred and it's only worth that much because there were only like 100 of them made. But it's not a rookie card or anything like that.

I have 3-4 early 50s mantles on topps/bowman, but no rookies
including the RHDF card which is actually the most rare (but noone cares)

need to get them pro grades since that's the only way anything will sell nowadays

The issue with cards and comics is that the companies realized people were actually collecting them and printed a shit load of each in the 80's and 90's. Something isn't valuable if everybody has one.

My best friend's grandpa has a Signed Mickey Mantle card. And the card didn't come signed either......he got it signed.

It's been appraised at $37,000. And he is not selling it.

It's mint condition and the corners of the card have special covers on them. It's in a glass case as well.

I gave all of my baseball cards to my nephew... I had thousands of them. There were some good ones in there.

I feel like this was mentioned between us briefly before. Think when Ryan Dunn died.
