Played a scramble with my FIL (RIP) several years back. Hit a closest to the hole shot within 5 inches of the pin. Hit the following tee shot somewhere far right... I don’t think anyone has found that ball yet. The foursome behind us looked at my FIL and one of them said “HE hit it closest to the pin?”

Good times.

I understand....I once was laying 5 on a par 4 about 90 yards off the green. It that SOB 10 feet from the cup and it rolled in. Best double bogy ever

^^^^This guy gets it. Finally something live. And yeah the first few holes were dull. Manning was the only one with life. After Barkley talked shit and Brady made the hole out he came to life. Same with Phil who was quite till he drove the green. Then it was entertaining and fun compared to the absolute silence we have seen due to Covid.
