I can see Philly keeping it fairly close for about 3 quarters with Hurts ability to run. Then TB12 says enough is enough and the Bucs run away with it late. Then Philly scores late in the game to fuck up the spread.

2nd best QB in a division with Daniel Jones and Taylor Heinke does not mean he will actually be good enough to get you where you want to go. Although he has improved he just does not throw the ball well enough to ever be a franchise QB.

There are 3 ways to win a Super Bowl as history has shown.

1. Get a great QB, the most SB winners by far had a top guy and it's not even close. This is the best way by far..

2. Have a dominant defense such as the Ravens, Bucs, and the Broncos in their last win. Those defense are few and far between, we have only seen a handful of these defenses this century..

3. Catch lightning in a bottle and have an average QB light it up for month such as Flacco or Mark Rypien. It's only happened a few times in history and they never repeated the magic, it's simply not sustainable.

Not sure how your team will ever qualify for any of the 3, I guess #3 is your best hope. Good luck with that.

I wanted to go to the playoffs and he got us here his first season as a starter after a season when the Eagles were 4-11-1. Did so as the youngest QB to take this franchise to the playoffs as well.

There is no reason why Hurts can't develop into a great QB. He made great progress from his rookie season. He has top level intangibles and work ethic. If there is anyone who is going to put in the necessary work and preparation and then some it's Jalen Hurts.

Eagles have three 1st round picks heading into what is seen as a defensive draft. They should be in an excellent position to inject the defense with a lot of good young talent.

As for this post season the Eagles likely won't go far but at the same time they have the most dominating run game in the league with one of the best if not the best offensive line in the league. The only real question I have is if Gannon is going to be able to get this defense to put up more of a fight against good QBs then they showed in the regular season because they gave up no resistance to any QB that was good. Eagles won't be able to really contend until they substantially improve the defense. But that has nothing to do with Hurts.

If it's close going into the 4th then that's a big win for the Eagles. They are second in the NFL in 2nd half points. By that 4th quarter the running game is having their way with worn down defenses.

The trick for the Eagles will be not coming out of the gate slow and falling behind by 2-3 scores in the first half.

The Eagles win this one going away, with the only real interest coming in the third quarter when Jalen Reagor rips his jersey off, does some jumping jacks and runs off the field.

Rain in Tampa from what I read. That's real good for Philly. Good enough? Probably not but if their punter gets hot you never know...

You have reason for optimism for sure, and Hurt gave you all you could have hoped for I guess. But there is a giant leap from where he is now to Great QB and the odds are strongly against this ever happening.

Buccaneers will be too much for Hurts and the +8.5 Eagles. Brady playing like a young guy with 5.000 yards and 51 TDs overwhelms Hurts. But I'll be rooting for the Eagles.

Josh Sweat is out today. That isn't good news. That leaves Derek Barnett as our only remaining DE that can generate pressure. Maybe they slide Milton Williams to DE today because Kerrigan sure as fuck isn't going to do anything out there.

Bucs CB Carlton Davis (back) is active for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Eagles.

Davis is active but the Bucs will be without CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (hamstring), who didn't show enough to get cleared in pre-game warmups. Kyle Trask, RB Kenjon Barner, RB Ronald Jones, WR Cyril Grayson, TE Codey McElroy, and OL Nick Leverett are also inactive for the Bucs.

Eagles DE Josh Sweat is inactive for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Bucs.

Sweat, who was listed with an illness on the injury report, underwent surgery for a "life-threatening" situation this week. It's a downgrade to the Eagles' pass rush after Sweat posted 45 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in 13 starts this season. Ryan Kerrigan and Tarron Jackson will pick up Sweat's snaps. The rest of the Eagles inactives are QB Reid Sinnett, RB Jason Huntley, OL Nate Herbig, CB Tay Gowan, DB Andre Chachere, and DB Kary Vincent.

I believe the Bucs take this game. The Eagles have beaten 1 team with a winning record, Saints, and I don't see them getting the 2nd one today. I would expect a close game as the Eagles will try to run the ball and keep Brady and Bucs O off the field. I'm thinking a lower scoring game with the Bucs winning by 3 to 7 points. Something like 23 - 19

Brady needs to be worried about Eagles fans throwing snowballs at him.

Oh, wait, odds of there being any snow is about as much chances of the Eagles winning this game.
