Has any team ever had the following on the same team:

1 all NBA 1st teamer
2 all NBA 2nd teamers
1 all NBA 3rd teamer

My guess would be no. Golden State essentially has 4 of the top 15 players in the league and two of the top 3 players in the league.

The 84-85 Lakers would make a good argument. That team had Magic, Worthy in his 3rd year, Kareem who was still a force, Jamaal Wilkes who was in his late 20's, Michael Cooper who was one of the best defensive players in the 80's, and Bob McAdoo later in his career.

Up until 88-89 they didn't even have a All-NBA 3rd team. Back in the day the Celtics had 3 1st teamers one year and 2 1st teamers and 1 2nd teamer. If they had a 3rd team it could have happened.

But since 88-89 this the closest...In 94-95 the Supersonics had 2 2nd teamers and 1 3rd teamer but not one on the 1st team.

71 Lakers. 4 Hall of Famers. Wilt, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, and Goodrich.

But this team is definitely at that level from a pure talent perspective.

The team won 73 games this year and swapped underachieving Harrison Barnes for the third best player in basketball.

As long as they have some healthy foul givers in the paint it is hard to imagine how this team doesn't just roll through the season. You could argue they have the 3 best shooters at their respective positions in the league. Maybe even 4.

I remember when LeBron teamed up with Wade people were shocked about two top 5 players in the game being on the same team.

Even though that was very common in the history of the NBA, it just hadn't happened in a while.

At the time, Westbrook was not considered a top-5 player... but he is now.

So Durant moved from 1 top-5 teammate to another. Of course... Klay & Draymond are better than Ibaka and Adams.

03 lakers on paper maybe... A team that had won 3 of the previous 4 NBA finals (lost to the Spurs in the playoffs the year before.

Shaq... Most dominant big in the NBA in his prime still.
Kobe... Coming off his first 30 point season. Really hitting his prime.
Payton... Older but coming off a 20-4-8 season (points boards, assists)
Malone... OLD but coming off a 21-8-5 season.
Bench had some nice older role players (Bryon Russell, Horace Grant, Rick Fox).
Coached by 9 time NBA champ coach Phil Jackson.


85 76ers was pretty impressive. 7 guys who'd been all stars... 4 who had won league MVP's. Moses, Dr J, and Cheeks with Andrew Toney in his all star prime adding Charles Barkley.


A couple I think you could argue. Of course 60's celtics had like half the leagues talent on a single team.

Hockey, man that red wings team in 01-02 with Shanahan, Hull, Fedorov, Yzerman, Chelios, Lidstrom, and Hasek behind the net. Those 2 are my favorite teams on paper.

No theyre the best shooting team. Yes KD is a top 5 player. KD still scored 30+ in the last 3 games.. It was a team effort but golden state won more than OKC choking imo
