Damn. You have already judged this team without even seeing one meaningful play. Granted the RG3 drama is a bit much, but I never expected anything from the guy (nor from Cousins) for this season anyhow. Again - I am looking for improvement from the rest of the team & don't even expect that till later in the season. People should not expect rookies and newly named starters to excel day one. It often takes time. There have also been several key starters who have either not played or played very little in preseason.

If RG3 is no longer with this team or plays very little it could actually be a major positive for this team since it will likely indicate that Snyder has truly relinquished control - at least for now. We will see.

No way in hell do I feel worse about this team then during the tail end of the Zorn or Spurrier (worst ever) eras. They have a ways to go in that area. I understand your frustration, but I would advise folks to at least let the first month play out before declaring this a total disaster (I would also advise folks to believe nothing that comes from ESPN & similar sources).

Hey man don't let me rain on your parade. If you can see the silver lining, and sure the QB change does give us hope for a few more wins, more power to you. Me? I'm not letting Lucy pull the ball away. Again. I think this team has real problems with pass defense and on special teams.

I'm kind of sorry our exchange ended in the Gallette thread. I gave a pretty good breakout of the new additions to our DL complete with career sack figures. So I'll ask again: what makes you think that the pass rush won't continue to be a problem for this team? None of the additions has any sort of history what so ever as being good pass rushers with the exception of Hatcher who had only 1 good season and it was in his contract year.

OK - first of all I am not expecting playoffs or even a winning record. I am only expecting improvement in areas other than QB. I truly believe that they added real talent on defense especially on the D line. You can't measure a D-line in a 3-4 simply based on sacks. A big part of their job is run stopping & occupying the line so that others can rush the QB. P. Smith has a real chance of doing well in this area. By default the secondary has to be better.

Again - I am not saying that the Redskins will do great or that they might not even fail miserably. I am only asking people to wait & see. The media's objective appears to be to only place the Redskins in a negative light & don't give them credit for anything. I hear all of these geniuses saying that the problem is that the Redskins are ignoring the O-line. Excuse me? They used their top pick on an O-lineman, drafted some other O-lineman recently, extended the contract of their best lineman & hired one of the best O-line coaches. To me that sounds like O-line is one of their top priorities, but again why give the Redskins credit for anything?

I am not celebrating the current state of the team - just not judging anything before even one real play has transpired. Judging just about anything based on preseason is a joke. I apologize if I was out of line in my reply, but I refuse to believe that everything at Redskins Park is 100% doom and gloom. Cheer up.

No apology necessary, after the way Dad and Shark go after me you came at me like Mother Theresa.:D

Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. I was just questioning the vast improvement you see in the pass rush with the DL we have acquired and sorry, I still don't see it. We still can't cover and we still can't rush the passer. And then there's special teams and a QB who throws picks.

But damnit we've got us a punter. Lots of practice I guess.....
