That might be a good point you are making. That being said, I hope Oden does well enough to make them forget about Bynum, and then is worthless for Miami in the playoffs. I'm out!

I had only seen his highlights before, in this 8 minutes he kind of looked like all of them. I really hope the Heat can get 20+ minutes from him...what if for a few years*?


*Life style changes should yield positive results. In POR he was drinking and also weighed much much more. Healthy diet and less load bearing on those knees should do wonders for his health...let's just wait and see though.

Gortat was 0-2 with Oden guarding him. He will be a factor IF HEALTHY in the playoffs. I think they will try to give him 15-20 MPG in the playoffs once they don't feel too concerned about the knee

I think he guarded Nene into at least one miss as well.

I feel like they can just turn him loose in the paint and let him wreck havoc...I guess that is basically what you want a center for though.

Botslayer. I am glad to see Oden make it all the way back after nearly three years. He'll be a good addition for you guys and there is no comparison of Oden and Bynum. You don't want the Bynum train wreck as his knees are so bad, he'll be a candidate for knee replacement surgery here way before his time. Plus he does way too much weed.

But the biggest reason there is no comparison is between the ears. Bynum is a permanent basket case who is playing the system to get his weed money. I fully suspect he'll be totally broke living on the streets somewhere in about a year or two. Alternatively, Oden has fought through a sunnami of hurdles and has come all the way back and he will be a great addition.
