Looking up some stats between the 2000 Ravens and 85 Bears… Neither of those teams faced a top 5 offense in there Super Bowls… Bears spanked the #9 offense in the New England Patriots who averaged 342 total yards per game… The Ravens beat up on the Giants who were ranked 13th in Total offense and averaged 336 yards per game… Seattle held the #1 offense in NFL history who averaged 457 yards per game and they were almost shut out if not for a slop time TD when the game was over… I don't think anyone can argue Seattle belongs in the conversation for all time great defenses… Definitely the best Super-Bowl performance defensively ever… Passing yards allowed per game the Seahawks statistically beat out both of those teams and in and era where passing has ruled the NFL because of rule changes… 172 pass yards allowed per game during the season for Seattle, while the 2000 Ravens gave up 187 through the air and the 85 Bears gave up 176 through the air during there seasons on average … Ravens only gave up 60 yards per game on the ground though while the Bears gave up 82… Seattle gave up 101 a game on the ground…
