and when it comes to Lebron? He can be a drama queen no doubt but that guy gets hit every time he goes to the hoop with any traffic.
Yes he is, but he’s a big bodied brick wall and just like Randle , when he was here in NY, bitched to refs every possession he had, refs told him he’s a big guy who creates a lot of contact, I guess same goes for leflop

The rules prevented any type of semi effective zone

Go ahead and post a link that backs you up if you actually have it so the rest of us can poke holes in it.

Good help defense applies zone principles. The illegal defense rules of the 90s made it impossible to play good help defense and made it easy to isolate your best scorer in 1 on 1, or a 2 man game.
Thanks for agreeing to disagree, again

Semi effective zone. DUDE!!!!

I believe you said you coached kids , any chance you’re a lawyer ?

It is not a zone man.

When you cover the bottom of the “zone” and the player from the opposite corner moves above the free throw line, the defender must follow or inmediately leave to double the ball.

That is not a zone defense. Sorry dude.

You made a claim telling us to do research and you fail to supply anything to back your claim up.

Typical.

as to this discussion (big guy getting hit), yes, it is what you said.

Odd such a tough time keeping up.....with yourself.
Yes there are similarities in that they both don’t get the calls they want

But I’m not comparing the 2 in any other way

you tried to compare how often Randle gets hit driving to hoop with Lebron.

It was laughable and still is. Just walk it back and move on.

I don’t use links on any post I have ever made

Just google it.. zone defenses used against MJ , it’s as simple as that. Why haven’t you done it?

Only you would be stupid enough to try to compare LeBron and J. Randle.

No reason to ask what's wrong with you. All the regulars in the NBA threads know your brain doesn't work properly.

pasta-da-fool's brain don't work right.

You ever see his dumbass reasoning as to why the N.Y. Rangers playoff trips recently make Dolan a great owner for the Knicks?

Because it is a false claim.

Any good zone has man principles.

Any good man has zone principles.

Illegal defense rules from the 90’s made it incredibly difficult to apply those principles to play help defense.

Quite simply, every team in the 90s played man.

You want to claim something different?

Back it up.

Omg.

@Pastafazul this one takes the cake.

Your google search you want us to do is about MJ facing zones during his time with the Wizards after it was legalized.

Which we clearly stated that it was legalized in ‘01 and ‘02

You are too much dude.

Take the L

My dude.

Go back and read the conversation.

It was all about the 90s.

When people are talking about Jordan tearing up the modern NBA they aren’t talking about the 40 year playing for the Wizards.

That version was almost exclusively jump shots. Mostly from the midrange off of posts ups.

You are clowning yourself here and you don’t even know it.

About what?

You made a claim that is wrong and you can’t back it up.
MJ faced zone defenses in both college and pro . Legal or illegal. And he obliterated them. Teams did it, if it wasn’t enforced by the refs , that was their doing!

Just like today, the clutching and grabbing that goes on, the refs let that go as well cause they are not going to make the call on every possession.
