Interesting read...lost me with no mention of penalties and focusing only on us not running RBs enough. AZ is great at stopping the run and our play calling suited more of a short passing game that was working. Multiple plays (especially in the 2nd half for whatever reason) were stopped due to lack of execution to kill drives. Week 2 turnovers and penalties killed the 49ers. Week 3 penalties and lack of execution gave us an L. Hopefully week 4 sees few offensive turnovers and especially clean up the penalties for us to have a shot another win.

yeah, the amount of penalties against Chicago, and the type of penalties against Arizona? the other 'no mention' is lack of pass rush? Fangio HAS been blitzing too, but still no results.

over the years fans have been calling for more passing, and fans got excited when Johnson was added. but funny now that we lost two in a row, fans want more running? not picking on you, but a general comment on fans, writers, and even Gore.

I've always been for balance but with the enforcement of rules today, we have to lean pass. not lean as far as other teams, but that's the way it has to be. just get back to individual execution, which will lead to better unit play.

Given how successful the 49ers have been over the past few seasons and how well they’re coached, it would be a surprise if things didn’t get better. Boone should play better as he gets back into game shape. Both Anthony Davis and Vernon Davis are on their way back, with the latter likely to suit up in Week 4. Ward will make fewer mistakes (or play fewer snaps). Let’s remember that San Francisco was also 1-2 last year, having suffered blowout losses by 20-plus points in back-to-back games at Seattle and at home against Indianapolis. The 49ers promptly righted the ship, won their next five games, and finished 12-4. Repeating that many wins might be tough, given that there are still two games against Seattle to go and matchups against Denver, Philadelphia, and New Orleans. But it’s too early to panic. The 49ers should be fine.

Agreed.

yes, so every player focus back on yourself, not the zebras. then as you do your own assignments and reduce 'sloppiness', others around you do better.

we fans always point at zebras. haaaa
