Injuries are killing me, and I gotta pick up a WR just to fill my roster this week - and maybe more. There are 2 I am targeting, but can only get 1 and need to know which one you guys think.

1) Malcolm Floyd - Bonus, I have Rivers. Bonus, Eddie Royal is out. Bonus, he is their best deep threat. Neg, he historically only gets a few targets per game.

2) Cecil Shorts - Bonus, gets a ton of targets. Bonus, lots of garbage points. Bonus, he and Bortles seem to have found some chemistry. Negs, hammy and the jags.

Honestly may be a big decision for me. What do you guys think?

I like Floyd.. could just be that I don't like Shorts.. nothing wrong with him, just never have felt like he was worth using

You have all the pros and cons laid out. Nobody can tell you anything different. It's a preference pick... but I'd take Floyd. (and I don't think Royal is out officially, is he?)

I would go with Shorts. I really don't trust the Chargers to have a weekly usable WR. Almost like a Eagles situation that anyone could have a good or bad game.

Again one of those decisions where my gut says Floyd. I am a Chargers fan, and I have Rivers for double up points. But the more I think about it, my head is saying Shorts. I think if they both play healthy and to potential - Shorts wins out. But Shorts has the better chance to burn me. :gaah:

Eddie Royal's ribs ailment is not considered "significant."

Advice: According to the Union-Tribune San Diego, Royal could miss "little, if any, time." That still leaves his Week 7 status a little murky, but it will be updated when the Bolts return to practice on Wednesday.

I have Floyd in a couple of leagues and haven't played him yet. Those 3 catch 90 yard type weeks worry me that a 1 catch 7 yard game is coming. Due to injuries I'll be playing him for the first time this week. Rivers doesn't look like he is going to slow down, so I would say go with Floyd. You may have some ups and downs, but the ups will be pretty good for a #4 type WR and everyone in that area has donut weeks.

I'm with you on Shorts and that's a big part of why I say Floyd too...

Hizz, SD WR have caught 8 TD compared to 4 that JAC WR have. That said, they must love Shorts in JAC. because although he missed 3 games (half), he has 30 targets which isn't far behind Robinson and Hurns.

Joe, of course they love shorts in Jacksonville. I understand it's very humid there...
