Just starting to hear about this. What do I need to know other than I probably won't have access to it for quite awhile? Do you know anyone who has it?

I was reading about AT&T's new gigabit service in KC. Seems they track every search/site you visit and inject targeted ads unless you pay $30/month not to. In my opinion that's just as bad as what Lenovo installed on their laptops. I usually don't like the government intruding but in this case if this becomes the norm something needs to addressed in Congress...like privacy.

Portland get it but not Seattle? You would think the revenue would be bigger if they hit Seattle first. Maybe they are starting small to work the kinks out?

I don't think it was Google, but my Dad said they were laying fiber optics on his street in Cincy in November. Hard to imagine the Bay Area not having access
