That it's Goodell hearing it? Not surprised. It was Troy Vincent that handled the report and punishment to begin with. Now Goodell will get his turn.

Just going off prior precedent on issues that do not have as clearly defined punishments and it isn't unusual for them to reduce on appeal. What it does is gets the Pats to leave it at that and not pursue more civil or other legal action against the league.

Exactly. Appease Kraft enough to keep this from going into the civil or other courts.

There will be some kind of reduction, but the idea it will be eliminated and Brady plays against the Steelers just went out the window entirely.

-Brady is contrite & admits to whatever he has done. - Suspension reduced to 2 games
-Brady continues to deny he did anything wrong. - 4 game suspension upheld
-Goodell takes this to the mattresses & lays everything he has on the Pats & Brady on the table. Brady & the Pats STFU fast when they realize all the dirt the NFL has on them. - 4 game suspension upheld & life goes on

I wouldn't be surprised. I said all along the suspension would be 2-4 games. With 4 games basically being a buffer for the appeal.

Agreed. Unless Kraft and Goodell come to some backroom deal? Kraft tries to protect Brady's legacy. Offers to Goodell to eliminate the suspension (based on lack of evidence Brady did anything wrong). It's all speculative unless Roger does have a smoking gun?. Kraft says keep the picks and fine. Basically the organization didn't have organizational control. He falls on the sword for his team.
