How do you know that the Redskins suck at the safety position when healthy? The one half of football that Merriweather was healthy, he played at a very high level before he injured himself again. And we never saw Tanard Jackson in the defense because he was suspended. We had MADIEU WILLIAMS starting at FS.

But pass rush can mask some coverage deficiencies. And when you don't have a pass rush, in the Redskins' case due to injury... then it only compounds the problems.

Making it easier to blow a 28-3 lead.

Your pass rush was hurt? .... Orakpo was hurt? Dude he's not a superstar..... He wont even be brought back Washington after this season .... anything short of 15+ sack season.

Nobody said he was a superstar. He is a multi-time probowler. He is their best pass rusher. An 8-11 sack contributor and makes the pass rush as a whole better. Without his production and Carriker's production on the line, teams had a lot more time to throw the ball than the previous year. With him back, teams won't be able to key on Kerrigan. Plus they added a lot more depth at the position.

Do you have to practice to be that stupid?...... Or does life suck so bad as a skin fan that you actually jump on other teams boards to brag about beating a team of guys that were on the street when the season started by 10 points?
What you really should wonder is if that team you had last year could have beaten one of the scab teams from the strike year
