Football Team was not a good name. It's not even a name it's a descriptor. If Dodge introduced a new model and called it Car would you consider that a good name? Is Hotel a good name for a new beachfront resort?

If you are going to thumb your nose at Commanders why promote Football Team? It was literally what they chose to replace Redskins because as always they were caught with their pants down and not prepared for the possibility of a forced name change.

Actually, yes it would be a great name.

Beachfront resort, no. If you owned a series of resorts, calling them The Resort would work.

I'm not getting into the reason for the name change, I'll just say a lot has changed since 1933. Again my point remains it's just a name and people are making far too big of a deal over it. Football Team is not a name. It's what fools who were uprepared come up with out of desperation.

People are free to wear what they want. Dan named the team so it sucks.

If they rename the team with a nod to native America's I'll conisider buying gear.

There were a lot of Redskin players before Dqniels became a Commander. That reason doesn't wash with me.

This is probably the last time that I'll chime in on the name nonsense! Whether anyone likes it or not the old name was/is offensive and I'll leave it at that. Now rather than a whole back and forth over it, let me offer a compromise.
Do what Florida State did with my people and enter into a partnership with an actual existing tribe to alleviate any bad blood, offensive usage, or anything that brings discord between the team using an actual tribal name and Native American Nations. The old name was not the actual name of a tribe, branch, or group but this one is... I welcome all thoughts, pros, and cons on this idea.

Not sure what you mean by "old with the name". If you meant I like the name well that's not true, but as I said as they win and more and more the name is assiciated with Jayden Daniels and not Daniel Snyder it becomes more tollerable.

I suspect you may be right about me being in the minority. But I would not say the exception. I see a lot more Commanders gear now than before but of course nothing like Redskiins gear in 1993.
