oh i want the team name to be redskins. i know people say it will never return and they can very well be right (most likely are ) but aim high and if you have to settle it can be good . i know you cant have the indian logo or even the spear and still be called commanders . i dont give a crap about winning or how many superbowls we win , i will never accept commanders as the name nor will i buy merchandise or attend games until the name is changed

Once Harris said we can't go back to Redskins for obvious reasons, I became kind of apathetic toward a name change. I still crave for the 91 uniforms.

The Redskins were forced to change their name because a very small minority said the name was racist and offensive to Native Americans. So, they charged it to a name that is much more offensive to Native Americans. The Commanders name is more a reference to the US Calvary that wipped them out. You can't get much more offensive than that. This is the Most Offensive Racist team ever.

You mean like change the name from Darkies to Wellingtons?

I'm glad all of this is over. Redskins was never coming back. They could survey 10 people on a new name nd get 8 different answers, spend millions on a new name with a marginal bump in approval ratings. I hated the name Commanders as well, now it is much more attached to Jayden Daniels and winning than it is Dan Snyder and losing, at least for me.

So we will have a segment of the fanbase, say 30%, who will continue to use the name Redskins as a form of protest. The rest of us, like the fans of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, realize it's just a name and winning big makes it much easier to adopt.
