Agreed, if it''s going to be Commanders lets change the name to those Unon (US) Commanders who slaughtered the Indians and forced them onto reservations. How about George Custer. We can change the name to Trail of Tears and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Now that is something to be proud of.

Nothing definitve on that but I'm pretty sure. If I had to guess based off of what's been reported by Bram and Grant, I'd say we get the 91 uniforms and the helmet has a W with the white and gold stripes on the top.

I could also see them putting the W inside a circle with the white background. That's just a guess on my part though. Maybe gold face masks?

For me it was very simple. 12-5 and a trip to the NFC Championship Game with the most exciting young player in the entire league made a name I didn't much care for a lot more tollerable. I'm getting use to it and the entire name thing has become exhausting. I want the team to spend their time and energy on more important things. Things that really matter to winning.

I can understand some of you old guard dudes hating the name change. I will always laugh at you for believing it's that important but you certainly have that right. But not sure you have the right to ask other fans how they could embrace the new name.

Although the uniforms are a big part of it for me equally big was a praising the American Indian. While my earlier post might have been a bit extrema the name Commanders i closer to the Indian fighters than not. It is not just about uniforms, it is also about heritage. We were told we were racists for the Redskin name but Commanders isn't can't be just as racist?

For some like DGF 12-5 and Jayden Daniels works for him and the hell with the name. That is his right.

I was pro Harris getting the team. I like all he has done as an owner and we all like the improved team but he says he wants to make the fans happy but is listening to us in the same way Snyder did. His team, his football so take what we give you. Tickets cost a lot moey, parking costs a lot of money, concessions cost a lot of money.. Fans love Jayden but I am not going to wear the current jersey.

A very puzzling post sir! So there's no confusion on my part is it your position that the old name is honorable, except when you don't like the change and because of that you want to demonstrate how dishonorable it was by reminding everyone of their destruction?

For the knee benders out there, if it was “just a name “ then why change it in the first place ? Because it isnt” just a name “ it means something to people . Maybe nothing to front runners or people who don’t understand what this is/was really about . As usual with this type of person just give them a little taste of happiness to distract from much bigger issue . I am not going to embrace the name . I will call them redskins , the logo on the board will stay as is because it’s “just a name “ and this issue isn’t going to end no matter how much some ignorant person thinks it’s funny . I loved this team no matter if the win or lost . Now it’s not the same passion wise .

Ok, change your last name. See how you like it. That's what I liken it too. The name was forcibly changed to appease others and should have never happened. You will NEVER see the BLACKHAWKS change their name. I grew up a diehard Redskin fan, and you change the name?

I will support Washington, the Football team by cheering them on every Sunday. I will never spend a dime on Commander gear however.
