They didn't play their best? It isn't like they were just missing wide-open shots. Cleveland played an amazing game against them, all things considered.

What else is there to go off of at this point?

At this point, it's all we have to go off. Oddly enough, they played almost the same game last night against Cleveland as they did in their previous game in the regular season (scored 99 in the reg season in regulation, scored 98 last night). The only problem is Cleveland was full strength then and won by double digits while last night we weren't and let the game slip away.
Hahahaha but last week when I brought up points relating to what they've done in the reg season you jumped all on them like a dog with a bone. Fans of losing teams crack me up with all the excuses. LBJ thought he would go out there & punk the Dubs into losing and the exact opposite happened. Now, all of their fans are left picking their faces up off the ground because as it turns out a team DOES need more than the self proclaimed king to beat them Bay boys. LOL

Wow, damn you're sour still.

Love was fine this year for Cleveland, I meant. He was full-go and playing at full health against Boston, and if you're watching that play and think what Olynyk did was a "basketball move", I'd need an explanation for what part of the game involvs clenching onto someone's arm and torquing it as hard as you can. Love himself even said it was intentional and he was right there, so...

At any rate, I've made my point. When fully healthy, we were better. When we were at 2/3 strength with Kyrie still dealing with a knee injury, we were at the very least just as good and that was on the road. You can't argue with that so I guess this conversation is done.

Not sour at all.

You don't remember Love having some back issues this season? I do.
Kyrie is GLASS. Since college. Always something.
Either or both being injured. banged up, out...surprises you?

And, the fully healthy stuff mans nothing unless you are playing video games.
This is the NBA.
Big men battling with big bodies. Fully healthy never happens to any team.

When you get to this point it boils down to 1 of 2 things.

Winning or losing.

The opportunities don't come along very often.

Yeah, I don't think Kyrie's status changes the thought process on that strategy.

My point was... while strategy ultimately worked... it was a tie game and the Cavs had the ball at the end. It didn't prove to be an indefensible strategy, IMO.

Actually, how close the game was had more to do with GSW's slow start offensively than the defensive strategy on Lebron not working.

As I mentioned, when it comes to comparing these teams, that was all we had to go off of. Are you not understanding that?

Also, LBJ did go out and dominate. For a fan of a team who is lucky as hell to have gotten away with the win you're awfully arrogant.

People always say that Lebron never has teammates to play around him. "If he only had a bunch of great players on his team he would be unstoppable." The fact of the matter is that when Lebron hogs the ball like he did tonight you would be foolish to pay anyone but 4 great defenders and offensive rebounders to play wth him. There is a reason that Lebron's teams aren't deep and rich with talented players. Players want to be part of a team. They don't want to ride a guys jockstrap and have them talk about "commanding" them. In this way he's worse than Kobe, if that's even possible.

Never once did I say anything about Kyrie. The dude has had tons of injury issues, and I've never said anything to the contrary, but what were you expecting him to do? Tell Cleveland to just get rid of him when he came back? Jesus.

Love has averaged 63 games played per season for his 7 year career, and that's largely skewed by the one season he only played 18 games. He played 75 games for Cleveland this year and was playing full go against Boston when the fluke injury happened. I didn't think this point would be so hard to understand.

And yes, winning or losing at this point is all that matters. I don't think that is being debated by anyone.

Any word on Irving yet?

Nothing official. But on Dan Patrick this morning, Jon Barry said that a Cavs staffer told him that he thinks Kyrie will be out for the rest of the series.

Hahahahaaha I understand you don't appreciate eating your words and you haven't learned to be humble yet. Yes he did dominate, no one with eyes can argue he didn't, but at the end of the day it was all for not since he didn't win.

Lucky as hell?? I'm sorry, have I not been here since last week telling you exactly what happened was coming?? It's not arrogant when it's the truth. I tried to tell you. You didn't listen then and even after seeing with you own eyes you're still not listening now.

It's ok, I don't expect you to switch teams or anything but goodness you could at least give credit where credit is due. Especially since you and the rest of the Cavs fans keep harboring on the fact that LBJ had a monster game. SMH

So now the Warriors are lucky?:L

You guys wonder why the other 29 fan bases want to see James/The Cavs get demolished.

People here have said how lucky the Cavs were that the East was so bad (not me) and get ripped and told they are discrediting the Cavs.

The Warriors are having one of the greatest seasons of ALL TIME.
That includes finding ways to win, when not playing your best, which is what we all saw last night.
So quit discrediting them.

And anyone who watched GS could tell you they didnt play at their best. Non-biased folks will tell you Cavs are lucky GS started slow

Actually, how close the game was had more to do with GSW's slow start offensively than the defensive strategy on Lebron not working.

Yeah, yeah, I know... the fact that opponents have frequently gone through rough offensive stretches against the Cavs is because the Bulls, the Hawks, and now the Warriors "just didn't play their best"

Did you watch the game?? The Cavs gave this one to GS. You do actually realize that they were literally about an inch away on Shumpert's last second shot from winning, right?? I give credit to GS for their resilience, and in the end it won them the game, but you're a fool if you think they weren't very lucky to be in that situation in OT to even get to that point.

Well Wade wanted it, liked it and was mad it ended?

So what's you're point?
How can it be any type of positive for the Cavs?

Game showed that the Warriors bench was up to the task.
It showed they could win with 3/5 starters and 2 best players not being that good.

In addition, James was very good. I doubt he can keep up that pace/effort.
Kyrie is more than likely done..and while you guys may be high on Delly...watch and see how that goes.

My point is you are acting like GS played like shit, not true. And Curry started off slow but played very well.

Delly against Curry haha that wont be good. The Cavs have zero bench now except JR. They have no depth with these injuries. I expect Game 1 to be the closest it gets especially if GS changes up their defensive strategy.

So, like LAD, did you also not watch the game? Cleveland was in control. Several posters on here that are fans of neither team have even said they felt as if Cleveland was going to win this one in regulation. It was literally an inch away.

Exactly! It's been like that for years. Tues, Thurs, and Sun, but, I never seen the Finals on a Friday. Like you said, Friday and Saturday is the worst days to have a game. I don't understand what the nba is thinking.

They changed it last year since they changed the format so now all game 7 of the finals will be played on a Friday due to the teams now being forced to travel between games 6 & 7

I don't think anyone plans on Delly replacing Kyrie. I think we see Shumpert shift to PG with Lebron bringing the ball up and JR Smith moves into the starting SG spot. We're definitely better with Kyrie in but those three with TT and Mozgov down low will be a solid starting 5. The difference is now that we'll need Delly, James Jones, Shawn Marion, and maybe even Mike Miller and Kendrick Perkins to be more involved, which doesn't make any Cavs fans happy.

JR needs to get back to form lol. He had a good 1st half and just looked unfocused that 2nd half. He is gonna have to be huge in game 2

LOL if believing that the Cavs gave this one away helps ease the pain, then by all means you think that. But, Hahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaahahahaha.

I wonder what you will say when they win 3 more and walk away with the trophy.
