Events like the Finals require tons of non game coordination.

Hotels are the biggest reason.
The number of rooms needed to accommodate everyone involved is mind boggling.


Miami, for example, probably has as many or close to as many hotels as any NBA market, but can't host the all star game because a huge boat show is scheduled here that same week every year which has blocks and blocks of hotels rooms locked up.

It's usually drama during the Season at Staples Center.

That Grammy's trip is usually BRUTAL because they shutdown Staples at least a week ahead so the artist can practice at the venue.

The 2011 Heat were not one of the best. We're talking about Mike Bibby and Big Z being the starting point guard and center respectively for the Heat. Haslem was out for a majority of the year as well as Mike Miller. There was next to nothing as far as a bench goes.

Yeah, I wasn't giving my opinion... I was referring to them being near the top of the statistically great supporting casts list shane linked. I agree with you.

He said he is playing his best basketball of his career but he is shooting his worst 3pt %,one if his worst jump shooting % and avg the most turnovers in these playoffs(2nd worst in his career). How is he playing his best? Plus he isn't playing Top D against the #1 option anymore. Only thing that is up is assist per game. Also playing almost the least amount of Min in these playoffs in his career.

Is this LBJ just trying to get some media time. Week off has him asking for some attention.

No... the reporters asked him the question. I think most players who put that much time and effort year in and year out are going to feel like they're continuously improving. He said "put everything together" and I think I'm at my best now.

I'm guessing he's thinking about things like leadership, patience, on court communication, getting teammates involved at the right time, etc.

I thought the same thing at first but he isnt talking about his game. He is talking about his play, mind (bball IQ), and just where he is as a player through experience. If he gets his jumpshot back he will be at the top of his game as a full player though.
