He is not worth a max. I honestly like Mozgov more, especially IF (IF) Love stays. Varejao and TT are similar players. Do you really want to pay two guys with NO offensive game 25+ mil a year?

Mozgov is more offensively talented and is even starting to get comfortable with 16 footer which would be really nice playing with LeBron.

I wouldn't pay TT more than 10-12 a year. His talents were magnified vs the bulls and hawks for the same reason delly, shump and JR looked like world beaters. Hawks and bulls focused way too much effort on LeBron and it got guys open 3 and allowed TT to crash the offensive glass.

Golden State is taking a different approach, putting more focus on keeping the role players out of the game and bodying up Orebounders.

But I agree, TT will be a bust of a Max. Don't know how you pay that guy the same money you pay a guy like Kyrie and MORE than what STEPH CURRY makes.

Cavs will do it though, and it'll suck

he's a good pick n roll defender. but he struggles down low or against bigger players IMO

Rodman was a superior defender.

Thompson is mediocre at it on good days. He might be the worst rim defender in the league.

He does one thing well: REBOUNDING

If he can average 12+, he is worth a big contract. If not, you can alway find another Dajuan Blair guy like him.

Curry needs to do that more. Every time he gets the ball he's scrambling looking for an open 3. Just take what they're giving to you and the other stuff will come.
