I actually feel pretty comfortable with Vokoun in tonight. Fleury's lost his cool a couple of times against the Bullies, so playing a calmer Vokoun could really help.

I believe the Penguins are home too, which is great for the Flyers.

I'm not saying you would be wrong, either. Just saying teams have come back from 4-5 points down with 30 games before, and not necessarily the teams you would have thought. St. Louis came back from 9 down with 34 to play a few years ago.

We also have the most games played, which theoretically means we will be slightly more rested on average for the rest of them with fewer back-to-backs (we have 5 remaining of 10 total for the year), and this will be our 12th road game of the year compared to only playing 6 home games. I'm not saying I wouldn't trade our position for, say, Boston's, but it'd be a hell of a lot worse if we were 7-9-1 at home with no road games played two weeks later and every game remaining was part of a 3-in-4-days stretch.

The Pens season pretty much mirrors the Flyers except they've WON all their road games and we haven't. They've got 16 of 22 points off teams not in the playoffs (including us, sigh), and are 3-3-0 against teams that ARE in the playoffs. This also means their schedule is going to get a bit harder down the stretch, as they have yet to play a single game against Boston, Montreal, or Carolina.

I'd say it'll be Ottawa who will drop out before the Canes. Without Spezza and Karlsson, I just can't see them treading water for 30+ games. Those two guys are key performers for that team. Anderson is playing lights out, right now.. i just wonder how long he can keep it up
