Just read over on MLB Trade Rumors that one of the main reasons Arroyo didn't sign with us was because he was afraid the deal would fall through due to the physical.

Agreed on all other points, but I think Arroyo would have been a nice addition, especially when compared to other in-house options. Especially considering that a lot of the good numbers that he put up were in hitter-friendly Cincinnati.

arroyo contract is 9.5 mill 14 11 million 15 with a 4.5 buyout or a 13.5 for 16 .

a pitcher giving up 32 homers in 202 inn I don't like . I remember him with the red sox and he was pretty sad . no way I would want to spend what 25 millon for 2 years or 34 for 3 when I could get tillman maybe 3 years or 4 for 30 million . or maybe 3 more years of jj for close to the same money . we need to vet britton before he gets gone the potential is there for him to be good . this stuff of yanking britton around and going with the likes of hammy and Garcia was just stupid !
