no disrespect to the Gators , I just believe the other 3 are above everyone

Well, I can see that forsure but you made it sound like only those 3 have a chance. Florida def does in my opinion. Putting them behind those 3 I can see though.

In tourney play the game tends to open up a bit. That favors teams that can score it well. Osu doesnt have enough offense to win a title imo.

Gotcha. I only mentioned OSU because Thad Matta is one of the coaches that has won just about the same amount of tournament games as Duke in the last ten years. K is a really good coach, but I think he's getting a little too much credit.

At this point I'd be floored if it was anyone else but Ill say Duke, Kansas, UK...UL? aaaaaaaaaaaaaand idk.

I am with you on Wichita.. the struggled against Indian State and again against Southern Illinois the other night with only 3 of their opponents in the top 50 and only 1 in the top 40 of the RPI (#17 St. Louis).

I do think Kansas and Kentucky are scary. They have the ability to lose to anyone on a given night, but if they string 2-3 good games together (because I don't think round 1 will be a test) they could easily be in the final four.

I am scared of Kentucky right now as well.. everyone will remember their bad losses so when we lose to them ... we will drop in the polls 4-5 spots. But they are a scary team if they continue to improve...

Absolutely. Thing is were talking a title here. KU and UK can win 3-4 game but no way these teams run the table. Too many flaws.

Better question...why no respect for Witchita?

They have 1 good win (SLU), and 19 of their 25 wins come against teams outside the top 100 RPI. Yes, I know they didn't really lose anyone from last year's team, but their final 4 run was incredibly fortunate. They played one of the worst 1 seeds I can remember in Gonzaga, then played 13 seeded LaSalle in the Sweet 16. They are a good team, but not one of the 10 best in the country.

Wichita is a weird team IMO. I feel like they are capable of winning it all but they are kind of sleepwalking through the MVC BUT it says alot about their team that they can simply flip a switch and outscore teams by 25-30 points in the last 10 minutes of games.Of course the concern you get over that is will they be ready to play a full 40 minute game once the tourney starts??? They arent going to be able to just flip a switch once the S16 rolls around because Iowa State isnt Southern Illinois you know... I think IF the Shockers come to play a full 40 in the tourney they can beat anyone though.

I really want to believe there's 10-15 teams that can win this , but there isn't. Every yr we hear " the field is wide open , "anyone can win this" blah blah blah. And what do we get ? The championship game comes down to 2 teams who've been at the very top all yr. Boring. Ok ,I know this isn't always the case but it's the case too damn much. Every single yr I do my brackets and always think this is the yr we get surprised. The only surprise is when I don't finish at the very bottom(last yr again) and actually finish ahead of 1 other dope ,usually a broad who doesn't know a basketball from a golf ball. More on that next month

I dont know man. We have had mid majors in multiple Final 4's in the last 5 years. We have had lower seeded teams in title games over the last few years. 10 of the last 20 final 4 participants have been seeded 4 seeds or worse including 4 of the 20 being 8 seeds or worse. I think the tourney is opening up quite a bit compared to how it used to be. Of course we havent had that WIN yet by a lower seeded team so your point is validated there as it pertains to this thread BUT when 50% of the teams making the final 4 are teams you wouldnt have expected I think its only a matter of time til we see a win by someone unexpected.

and when that happens it will be the yr I pick all #1's to make the final four!
