They should trade the their first rounder for multiple picks. They have lots of holes to fill. Plus they aren't even a lock for the number 1 pick as long as the Jags are around.
The Giants have a lot of holes right now so they may just be in a position to draft whoever the best player available is, regardless of position.
Agree for the most part, but I'm not that certain about that regardless of position theory.
Last I heard Clowney is now really beginning to be questioned by NFL scouts of whether he really has the drive to be good in the NFL. I'm sure somebody will take a chance on him in the top 10 but not sure he is a lock for top 3 anymore.
The hit in the bowl game shot him up the charts...he's not THAT good. This is akin to a lame duck FA to be player protecting his best interest...Clowney has been nicked up, to what degree exactly no one really knows, but I think this is clearly a case of a young man putting himself 1st here...I think GMs will take that into account.
For the most part, obviously they're ok at receiver and they could get away with what they have at a few other positions but they could use a top tier back, they could use o-line help, Tuck isn't getting any younger or healthier on the d-line, their secondary is a mess. They could take just about any position and it would be a good pick.

It usually doesn't look good when the doctors tell the coach he is able to play but then minutes before the game starts he tells his coach he can't do it.
I agree his bowl game performance and measurable are the thing that keeps getting him all of this attention. He is a good player don't get me wrong but other than his size and speed there is nothing about him that screams to me "Can't miss" kind of player. His attitude knocks him down at least a few spots if I am a GM. His motor knocks him down a few more. Now if I am sitting around that 10 spot and he is still available and I need a pass rusher then yes I would pull the trigger as a GM but otherwise I am not touching this guy with a 10-foot pole.
