They should trade the their first rounder for multiple picks. They have lots of holes to fill. Plus they aren't even a lock for the number 1 pick as long as the Jags are around.

Being a Giant fan I don't know if I want the Giants to draft Clowney. He seems like nothing but trouble

Right now most big boards have OTs Matthews, from TXAM, and Lewan from MICH going top 5...JAX is pretty much a lock for the #1 overall pick and they already have a young LT so Bridgewater is probably their man leaving both of these OTs on the board.

A lot can and will change by the draft, but I think JAX and TB are going to end up with the 1st & 2nd pick, with Clowney going to Tampa. If things don't get much better both NYG & PIT would take OTs at this point.

The Giants have a lot of holes right now so they may just be in a position to draft whoever the best player available is, regardless of position.

The Jags will have to take Bridgewater. They have Joeckel, but nobody worth protecting.

My team needs to suck for Matthews or Lewan.

Last I heard Clowney is now really beginning to be questioned by NFL scouts of whether he really has the drive to be good in the NFL. I'm sure somebody will take a chance on him in the top 10 but not sure he is a lock for top 3 anymore.

Agree for the most part, but I'm not that certain about that regardless of position theory.

For the most part, obviously they're ok at receiver and they could get away with what they have at a few other positions but they could use a top tier back, they could use o-line help, Tuck isn't getting any younger or healthier on the d-line, their secondary is a mess. They could take just about any position and it would be a good pick.

Good replies here. I don't think the Giants need to have the top 1-2 picks to get him. Jax has to take a QB. I'd think the same for Tampa. Seems like the stars are aligning for Clowney to end up in NY.

The hit in the bowl game shot him up the charts...he's not THAT good. This is akin to a lame duck FA to be player protecting his best interest...Clowney has been nicked up, to what degree exactly no one really knows, but I think this is clearly a case of a young man putting himself 1st here...I think GMs will take that into account.

The Giants just need everything. The only player that should be safe on that team if any is Jason Pierre Paul.

It usually doesn't look good when the doctors tell the coach he is able to play but then minutes before the game starts he tells his coach he can't do it.

I agree his bowl game performance and measurable are the thing that keeps getting him all of this attention. He is a good player don't get me wrong but other than his size and speed there is nothing about him that screams to me "Can't miss" kind of player. His attitude knocks him down at least a few spots if I am a GM. His motor knocks him down a few more. Now if I am sitting around that 10 spot and he is still available and I need a pass rusher then yes I would pull the trigger as a GM but otherwise I am not touching this guy with a 10-foot pole.

Their O-line was atrocious against the Panthers. I don't know how they're set at OT, but the draft seems to be pretty deep there again this year.

They could, but I think you'd still want to prioritize to some degree based on scheme, etc....not every guy can be #1 on your board.

We're sucking wind as well and could very well have the same situation...a lot of holes in PIT too. Years of drafting at the bottom eventually catches up to you.

From the games I've seen, he's the best DE prospect to come out in a a long time...probably 10 yrs...granted he's not playing a pro prospect every game in CFB so you have to temper that when it comes to the pro game.

I hear you on 10ish, as PIT fan if we had a top 5 pick he wouldn't be the #1 guy on my board, but if the 2 OTs are gone, there's not too many guy in the draft with his potential...I would pull the trigger on Clowney.

Attitude...I'm not following you there, but you have to know everyone is telling this kid not to go out there if he's not 100%.

Motor...it was a little disturbing that he was out of shape in his 1st game, but I wouldn't say taking plays off is a pattern.
