poor timmy....he's gonna be stuck on that team for the next 2 yrs.....unless they work a trade in 2014.

:wtf2:

"Poor guy" is stuck on a team that has won 2 of the last 3 World Series?

(I can still legitimately say that for another week or so, damn it)

I think Lincecum is our No.3

It's definitely a lot of money and it's an overpay but......there aren't a lot of cheap options

I hope this is a sign that we are ready to somewhat compete with the Dodges as far as large payrolls go.

The Dodgers are competing with the Yankees for the top payroll in baseball. I don't think the Giants will get anywhere close to that

We've gone through this, Tim's an overpay, Pence was an overpay...overpay is the new properly pay. There's a new Dodger-influenced scale and it is what it is. I hope those deals mean the FO knows they have to up the spending to keep up. Let's see what they do about the 4th starter and LF.

Remember too with pitchers it's not about the $ as much as the years...Tim seems to LIKE short deals, for whatever reason, and good for him (and us) that he does.

I'm confident in adding that the Mets are on their way up again, while the Giants are definitely in a downward trend...a la philly, the yanks... etc. The NL west is no longer theirs.

so....lol all you want.

Mets are/have been cellar-dwellars. Nowhere to go BUT up.

Giants have 2 Rings in the last 3 years (one more week!), so there really isn't anywhere to go BUT down.

Technically, you are correct, but not something you should be boasting about...
