don't know $ yet
but now that he's fat and sassy, I'm not sure he's a great pick for the survivor game
also, does this improve or reduce the ability to sign Perry?

That's the max extension you can hand out to your own player under the new CBA, correct?
holy shit that is a big cap hit. i take it Burke didnt have anything to do with the 8 year deal
will he be GM of the ducks again I wonder?

From what I understand they have the money. I guess it's going to be up to Perry. It would suck to see him traded before the deadline considering how well the Ducks are playing, but they'll probably do it if they can't get a deal done. Murray doesn't want to get nothing for him like he did with Justin Schultz.

Didn't somebody say just a few months ago something along the lines of "We simply feel that we are paying the players too much money".
Oh yeah, it was Gary Bettman.
What do you think Getzlaf is worth on the open market? What would the Flames offer him? I mean if O'Reilly is worth 6.5M, Getzlaf is worth much more.
Not arguing that Getzlaf is worth more than ROR, my point was that the silly lockout hasn't done anything to stop escalating player's salaries...
