There was a steakhouse just outside of Chicago that closed in 2012 that had the best strip steak sandwich I've ever had. Big, thick juicy cut served on toasted garlic bread with onions, ajus you can pour all over it and delicious thick steak fries.
I used to get it for take-out nearly every weekend and would go straight there to wait at the bar. Just so I could get it straight off the grill and shoot home ASAP so it would still be warm.
Fuck... I hadn't thought about that place/meal in a couple of years and now I'm desperately craving something that I can never have again. lol

I like that I get to book all my own travel. Obviously there are limits, but I have a minimum standard. My choices last week were a Fairfield Inn, Doubletree, and Delta (Marriott). I actually stayed at all 3 to test them out for our upcoming year long project. Fairfield is the loser based on no restaurant even if it was the closest to the office.
That's the same thing @AlaskaGuy said about his prison boyfriends.

year long projects? I don't miss those one bit. Do they fly you home every other weekend at least?

I'd probably slice it thin, and throw in with the eggs.1. If your going to eat a steak, eat in the restaurant, not take out..
2. If your going to get take out, get a burger like someone else said..
3. If you have leftover steak and you bring some home, make bumps:
put two pats of butter and just a small puddle of evoo in a cast iron skillet,
cut your leftover steak into bites (bumps),
fry quickly at a high temp.. 60 seconds.. your perfect medium rare leftover steak
will now be medium,, but they are really nice to snack on with your morning coffee.
ha ha,, since you know what I look like, I bet you were like:I'd probably slice it thin, and throw in with the eggs.
I've never had leftover steak, though.
