And Cobb can get 5 one week and 20 the next. . Same for Jthomas.. In fact. . Same for every single player available. . Some have a higher probability of not doing that. . But really.??? No. I turn to the whole entire team. Not even Shorts did well at home in 2012 other than the night game. Blackmon last year in most cases when he was on the field.

Oh the whole team you say? Well, given the two guys in question on this thread. .I present to you the Titans! A vastly superior talent at RB in CJ?K, and they were all inconsistent and or just bad last year too. The major difference? Gerhert is a virtual certainty to get 20 touches a game, Sankey might get 2, might get 12, maybe even 15 on a great day, doubtful he has one single 20 touch game baring injury to Greene, and now even McCluster will be cutting into his potential PT. This Gerhert v Sankey decision gets easier by the day.

I really wish I could have seen Gerhart play in the Jaguars preseason debut. But Bortles did look pretty good and I'm going to go ahead and say that I think he'll be an upgrade at the QB position this year.

If that's true, what that would mean is improving the offense that was dead last in scoring last season. More yards and points for the offense should translate to more success for Gerhart, who I think will be an upgrade over Jones-Drew as well.

Meanwhile, I haven't watched Sankey play, but 13 carries for 37 yards isn't going to cut it. It's still preseason, and things will change, but based on what I've seen up to this point...

I'm officially switching my position to Gerhart.
