Based on revenue? What the hell does that study even mean? There are 500,000 people in Seattle, and 8M in New York/5-6M in Chicago. Seattle is also not a major market. The article is saying loyalty is based on revenue which might be the dumbest statement (implied) of all time.
So let's say 500,000 of the 500,000 living in Seattle all bought a jersey. And then 750,000 of the 8M in New York bought a jersey. By this articles logic New York has more fan loyalty.
That might be the stupidest article ever written (not the part about the analysis on revenue but saying that equals loyalty). It's even more stupid that you posted it and makes you look even stupider for thinking THAT is a credible source.

This study was not biased and used data that took into account small markets. It's based on various statistics and not just revenue or attendance. Please read before assuming things.
And exactly where is all that stated? All I read is: "A team's on-field performance, market size, average income, and other factors were considered." which means jack crap.
Unless you have some other information about the article and how they compiled otherwise shoddy information, shut it. All the below comments on that site in response to the article note the exact same stupidity and lack of credible information as well.
My fault, I didn't provide you with the correct link.

"In our series of fan base analyses across leagues, we adjust for these complicating factors using a revenue premium model of fan equity. The key idea is that we look at team box office revenues relative to team on-field success, market population, stadium capacity, median income and other factors. The first step in our procedure involves the creation of a statistical model that predicts box office revenue as a function of the aforementioned variables. We then compare actual revenues to the revenues predicted by the model. Teams with relatively stronger fan support will have revenues that exceed the predicted values, and teams that under perform have relatively less supportive fan bases. We provide more details on the method here and here."
As a Pack fan it stuns me to see that we're just an avg fan base in terms of loyalty.
Jordy Nelson is ballin'.
Second best WR in the game when healthy as we seen in 2011.
LOL. So he's better than AJ Green and Calvin Johnson? Will throw Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, D. Thomas, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant out there as well.
Second best to CJ. Green is still Green as is Julio. Dez is a joke. Fitz is solid but declining. Prove to me that he wasn't the second best in 2011 when healthy.
