I have an N-router, I was surprised at how slow the actual throughput was. Roughly, a sustained ~6mb/s up to occasional bursts in the 16mb/s range. Streaming 1080P over my internal network was nearly impossible. Throughput will be effected by the number of devices you have, obviously - but also not something we always think about initially, and if any devices are B/G then that can seriously degrade the N band throughput depending on the type of router you have. Dual channel mitigates some of those issues.

The ps3 is connected Cat5, though. When I watch with my iPad, no stuttering...
