Yaz is having a career start, Ramos came out hot then faded. Overall OF production has vastly exceeded my expectations
He has faded, but he hit the ball hard as shit in the reds series and had close to little to show for it. Not super worried to be honest.

I agree but way too soon to expect it all year. Yaz has always been a sneaky legit hitter so if he has a great year I won’t be too surprised
The problem with Yaz is that he has stretches where he doesn't look like he could succeed in low A ball. I expect that stretch to hit at some point in the next month or so.

They just resigned him actually but I think it was just one year? He was in a contract year last year for sure.
Actually, he was not in a contract year last year. This offseason will be the first year he is eligible to be a free agent. The deal he signed for 2025 was to avoid arbitration.

It’s baseball haha. The ebbs and flows. No rhyme no reason. What frustrates me is the number of at bats they give away. Phil’s have had three nice teams in a row and nothing to show for it because in the biggest of games they get themselves out. Seeing a lot of that early this season.
Maybe they decided to get it out of their system early instead of late?

Bird needs to be in the rotation soon. Better than JV, Hicks and Roupp. But I trust the Buster.
Way too soon to throw Hicks out. JV is gonna get a lot of rope. Roupp could be the guy but he battled and I thought pitched pretty well considering the game situation and park
