We looked like garbage last preseason as well and we looked so bad that everybody thought we were going to suck for Luck and we all know how the season turned out.

Not that bothered by the game. Two things bothered me. Carlos Rogers got beat a bunch and Tramaine Brock has been awful. But we didn't blitz at all an the offense was typically vanilla. Remember the harbaugh shows nothing schematically in the preseason.

Regardless of what the expectations were we still looked like complete garbage last preseason and we still wound up going 13-3 and to the NFC championship game.

Some teams like to go for that preseason Super Bowl (Seattle) and some teams could care less about it and are completely different once the season starts (Green Bay). We just happen to be one of those care less teams.

And don't get me wrong I see what you're saying and where you're coming from. It's obviously better to look good in the preseason than bad in it but not doing good in it isn't in indication we're going to have problems in the regular season.
