I do not see Peggy as the long term solution. I see him as a guy who will compete until Brown takes the job sometime next year.

I think Peggy will be a nice 4th OF. Something like Mike Aldrete...

Aldrete was a wonder in CF.

Gary Brown is not taking the starting CF job in 2012. Not saying he won't be the starter ever, but he won't be the starter at any point in 2012 unless the wheels totally fall off the team.

I am not so sure. He OWNED the Cal league this year, so next year he will start in AA with the fast track being the plan. Even if they sign Coco, one of them can move to left/right when Brown is ready...

That's it, pistols at dawn. How dare you compare me to that slime... :laser:

That said, let's not get hung up on 'literally'. I just have a hard time seeing our hitless wonders making up 4 games on AZ with 22 to play.

I'm not going to stop hoping for the miracle, but 2 back with 22 to play doesn't need a miracle. 4 back kinda does.

Fair enough...:grouphug:

If they do have CoCo (or another decent leadoff hitting CF, but who else is realistic out there?) in 2012, then there won't be room in left because Belt will be there most days. I agree that Brown not going to be a starter for any long stretch in 2012. 2013 I'm hoping for him.

Ross a devolved into utter garbage

He knows that:

1. He's next on the chopping block
2. No WAY he's back next year
3. The fans are turning on him
4. He's on the bench once the callups get here

It'd be a minor miracle if he gives us anything the rest of the way

Nice play Pablo!

I like our 3B right where he is. And having a good hitter who can also field that position is a big plus. Kind of like how Posey is way more valuable as a catcher. Pablo at first is not that great.

Nice game, Bum. I'm surprised Boch left him in.

I was just pointing out, Pablo is a good defender at first.
