Bum taking the team on his back, Vogs couldn't, and Timmy just got tired of doing it every start.

We got such a good starting 3...

IMO, no one can match Lincecum-Cain-Bumgarner with all the intangibles. Youth, dominance, hardware, feel for the game.

Hard to sweep ANY team, but it is nice to see a little fight.

If AZ loses (again, hard to sweep a team) we are still in this. 5 down.

Now, we then have to sweep AZ, which I may have mentioned is hard to do. But we have to do it. We put ourselves in this position, and if we are truly a playoff team we will sweep AZ this weekend. There is literally no other way we make the playoffs.

Dude, there's a little trace element of Nolanisitude here. There are tons of other "literal" ways we can make the playoffs. I agree that these three games are big though. Say we're down 5 beginning the series. 2 of 3 would get us within 4 and AZ could easily lose a number of games in a row.

It ain't likely, but we could very well do this thing. Especially since Deuce and E6 are gone.

Soriano is god awful out there in LF.

For those of us talking about things like putting Keppinger at short or 3rd, or Pill at 2nd, or Pablo at first, or Beltran in center, or pablo at catcher (!), please use his example why fielding still matters.

That's it, pistols at dawn. How dare you compare me to that slime... :laser:

That said, let's not get hung up on 'literally'. I just have a hard time seeing our hitless wonders making up 4 games on AZ with 22 to play.

I'm not going to stop hoping for the miracle, but 2 back with 22 to play doesn't need a miracle. 4 back kinda does.

You have to think Torres is one of the guys on the hot seat. Especially since one of the most MLB-ready guys we have coming in the next week or so is a CF (Peggy)...

Pegs inability to take a walk scares me, but so did Sandovals.

Sabean said if all goes bad, he'll turn to the kids. I think Peguero would be one of those guys Sabean was referring to.

I do not see Peggy as the long term solution. I see him as a guy who will compete until Brown takes the job sometime next year.

I think Peggy will be a nice 4th OF. Something like Mike Aldrete...
