Our defense against the running game sucks. Is it the pitchers or the catchers? It seems that sometimes our pitchers hardly pay attention to men on base. But our catching has been terrible this series.

On the other hand, when I see the Padres run at will, I wonder why the Giants don't have guys who can run and do that fundamental shyte. Then I remember that it is Bochy and Sabes in charge, and I come back to the reality that is the 2011 Giants' offense. With this team, and Bochy at the helm, Lou Brock or Ricky Henderson would be lucky to steal a dozen bases in a season.

Padres schooling the Giants in fundamentals. Part of me admires this. Part of this makes me ill. Part of it makes me angry that the Giants don't do more of this. Sorry to vent, it has been one of those days, and to see the Giants getting schooled by the Padres just does not minister to my soul.
