If no runs are scored, do you always prefer an 11-pitch inning over a 17-pitch inning, or is it better confidence-wise to see a couple strike outs?

Sanchez may turn into a great pitcher (from a good one) but have you ever seen a guy who literally can't do ANYTHING else? Can't hit, bunt, field, hold runners on...

I'll take the Ks over the long run. Not many pitchers can do what Cain does, i.e. induce weak contact.

K's are REALLY only superior with runners on base. I would prefer a 3 pitch inning to a 9 pitch inning (although, 9 pitch inning are pretty cool too).
