Our record out of the break was amazing. Idk when exactly it dropped off. But it certainly has.

No question that the NLDS was the toughest series we had last year. If not for Conrad, we would all be a bunch of NNs right now.

I don't know, I still think the Good Guys still have a really good shot at the Division. Still plenty of games left brotha. Although, I've been wrong before.

That said, if the Giants keep compiling names on the injury list, then it may not matter.

Also, agreed, the Giants have fought tooth and nail to get where they currently are and for their WS last year. They deserve a break. The Sharks on the other hand deserve my ire

Injuries are a big part of why we are 3.5 back but they are not the only reason. Ross and Huff just haven't been able to produce as expected. Couple their lack of offense with all of our injuries and you have a team that has trouble scoring 3 runs. Seems like we're always getting 4-6 hits a game and that's it. I can't image where we would be wiithout Vogs this year. If he goes 6-6 (which we would have been satisified with) we are 7.5 back with 40 left. He's a big reason why we are still hanging around. We need to stay close as we enter September. We can't enter September being 5 out.

Is Towers' regression mainly due to the fact that this is who he is, or due to a nagging injury?

I tend to think that this is closer to the real him, but maybe with a dash of nagging injury, just for flavor.
