Regression? Maybe for Torres. Huff is well under his average career numbers, I wouldn't call that regression. Then you got the injuries to Franchez and Posey.

Turns out losing Uribe's power may have hurt the Giants more than anything else (might as well add Burrell's second half power numbers to that thought). Throw in a couple of three run homers every other night, and the non-productive outs aren't as meaningful.

Maybe regression isn't exactly it and timeliness is too broad to focus a problem on.

Losing Ford also has had an effect as the giants have lost their specialists. They used to be Oceans 11, with every man having a specific role.

I'm not too down on this team - the low points last year were much lower. I am finding the repetitiveness-as said before- numbing.

If this really is just a prolonged slump, the team should be plenty dangerous when they break out..I'm resigning to its just a bad stretch of games until further notice

homer glasses: short offseason + long baseball season + significant injuries = caught up with them... for now.

I still think the Giants are deeper than the dbacks and will take the West. We knew it was going to be tough but we shouldn't underestimate the ability the Giants to take their fans through the ringer
