What is the point of the "ball dudes"? Why not do as the Mets do, and make them hot little thangs to increase the enjoyment of watching the games?

What is the point of the "ball dudes"? Why not do as the Mets do, and make them hot little thangs to increase the enjoyment of watching the games?

I recall some of that happening pre-Ball Dudes, but the old men are funnier when they mess up and just as cool when they make a great play. I certainly welcome beautiful women added to any activity, but I would like to see the Ball Dudes come back at least every so often. One of them used to frequent a bar that I worked at, and I have never met a prouder 75-year-old man. Plus, Kruk and Kuip love to rag on them.
