Looks like Sabean was right, Giants were lucky to be 10+ games over .500.

I just wonder how the Mariners are worse with RISP than the Giants. Well maybe not after tonight's game.

how's it going guys?

I really don't remember last year's lineup being this inept...or even 2009's.

time heals all, I guess?

I exclude the few years prior to 2009, where every game was "when does Timmy pitch"?

It wasn't. Giants offense (Runs/Game) compared to league average.

2011 0.84%
2010 0.99%
2009 0.92%
2008 0.87%

This would be the type of game where MiggE6 would go yard right?

Then why are they teasing us with this whole first place business?!

I really thought the lineup was going to be something this year, regression factored.

Do I dare say it?...Is this the other shoe dropping?

king of the irrelevant xb hit

*the game's still close enough to where a homer might matter though

Regression? Maybe for Torres. Huff is well under his average career numbers, I wouldn't call that regression. Then you got the injuries to Franchez and Posey.

Turns out losing Uribe's power may have hurt the Giants more than anything else (might as well add Burrell's second half power numbers to that thought). Throw in a couple of three run homers every other night, and the non-productive outs aren't as meaningful.

Terrific homestand here. What a waste of an opportunity!

The recently 0-10 Pirates making us look stoopid, again.

I am not looking for panic outside message boards, but there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency with the team. Our offensive ineptness is putting an awful strain on the pitchers. Tonight, Song gives up two in the first, and has got to be feeling the game is over. No one can be perfect all the time, unless they are pitching against the 2011 Giants, I suppose.
