I really am tired of our inability to manufacture runs.

I remember last year, on two occasions, that Adrian Gonzalez, he of the high BA and HR and RBI, actually laid down a sacrifice bunt when the Padres needed it. It may have been a stupid call, taking the bat out of perhaps the best hitter in the NL at the time, but the Maxi's were struggling for runs. And Bud Black had him bunt.

Our scrubs aren't even asked/told/commanded to bunt by Noggin.
