I hate to say it, but this is how everyone expected us to play when Posey went down. We tried to fix our holes with the best options available, but even that hasn't worked. At some point one has to just accept the fact that this may not be our year

I'm not giving up till the fat lady sings, but the realist in me is preparing for the worst. :drink:

I didn't want to say it or believe it until now, but RIP 2011 season. Honestly if another team had to win the division, I'd prefer the Dbags to the Dodgers, Rockies, or Padres.

Between the desire, And the spasm
Between the potency, And the existence
Between the essence, And the descent
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom

For Thine is, Life is, For Thine is the

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

and the jew squats on the window sill, the owner,

Spawned in some estaminet of Antwerp,

Fuck TS Eliot -- he was an infamous anti-Semite. Marcus probably loves him.

Uh, the fat lady just finished singing "Turn Out The Lights" and is launching into "Same Time Next Year" now.

When Posey went down, we still had a chance if we didn't also then lose pretty much everyone else for some time this year (BOTH Chezes, Nate, Beltran...aw hell you don't need me to list them all), and also if the only healthy players (Huff, Ross, Torres (oh wait, he missed time too), etc) didn't crap the bed this year.

Posey was merely the biggest injury in a literally historic, unprecedented year of injuries for this team.

But that's what happened and its see you in 2012.

I'm rooting for a Tigers Brewers series myself.

Yup. Tough year so far, and now it's really, really, really not looking good. Giants have had a lot of things go against them this year and still have managed to fight and claw to make it this far.

Hopefully they can win today and then sweep the next series against the DBacks.

I definitely want the Tigers in the AL and I'd prefer the Braves/Brewers in the NL.

I am a fan of much Eliot's his writing. Not a fan of the anti-Semite part of his life, though. Didn't mean to cause offense.
