What was the point of bringing Burns back if he was still hurt? It was so obvious even before tonight that he wasn't 100%, I wouldn't even say he has been 50%, he has been god awful. Put him on IR for the rest of the season and hope he can contribute next year. This team isn't going anywhere this season anyway.

By the way, what is the deal with Vlasic? As bad as Murray is and sometimes Braunis, at least they look like they try. And Braun is young. But Vlasic is back to his old tentative ways, and any time he has to handle the puck, it is like he has butter on his hands or stick. To me, his act is getting old. I remember his rookie season and all that promise. He has not progressed much since then to be honest. I would not be against moving Vlasic in a deal at this point for some offensive help.

Another pathetic offensive output...
There was a good article in the Merc on Friday....A scout, who wouldn't allow himself to be named, said the Sharks are the big mystery, and none of them can figure out what their issue is. He did bring up a couple of good points:
That their "it'll be ok" lax attitude has something to do with it.
Also brought up their lack of grind it out goals, tough goals in the paint. They just don't have guys willing to go there...
Todd finally mentioned something about them that drives me crazy....the lack of north to south game. How many times do you see them hit the offensive zone, only to slow down and look for trailers?? It's the same shit over and over again....and it's obviously not working...
Drew pointed out something last night, singled out Havlat, but it applies to all of them....Someone took a shot, the rebound kicked out to the other side....but Havlat was slow getting there. You have to be headed to the net when your teammate shoots, not after the goalie kicks it out, because it's too late then!!!!
It is so boring watching this team.......

I have never been a Vlasic fan. He isn't physical, is poor at clearing the puck, has a shot that is only better than Murray. Those don't offset his defensive positioning and stick checking enough for me.
