Yep. I remember gp and I discussing which team we liked better, the 2010 pitching heavy one or the more balanced 2012 model that wasn't as dominant there but could actually score some. We both kind of liked the historically good pitching of 2010, and it looks like that's the team we got in the playoffs.
In the playoffs, I can't remember a time when good pitching didn't dominate good hitting. The big hitting team (usually AL) is always expected to come in and beat up their opponent, but the better pitching team always wins. If someone can give a counter-example I'd be very interested.
In 2012 and 2010 we took out good hitting Texas and Detroit. In 2011 both WS teams were more offense minded.
