Curt Schilling said that Bumgarner's velocity went down every inning. Anybody know if that is really true?

Wow. Pretty good start by our boys. Hate to say it, but I hope this was the last game at AT&T Park this season.

Was thinking that as I touched my brick on the way out.

Mostly false. I'm seeing a 0.4 mph mile drop from inning one to seven. He threw more FB in the 86-88 mph later, but still hit 90.1 a few times.

Basically:
innings 1-3 - even spread of 88. - 90.5
innings 4-7 - skewed a bit towards the lower end 86.5 - 90.1

Wow. Chills, man..

Ours is in the third row out. I wished I could of done the same.

Candlestick will always have its place but the Giants have come a long way

Now that the W is secured. Mad respect to Fister. Didnt deserve the loss. Hope he's okay. Would like him in a Giant uni someday.

Sounds like it. Tough to manage without a bullpen.

Seriously, it's tough to coach/manage when you don't have the tools to make it happen. I did think Smyly was left in too long, but if he didn't have any other options.....I was surprised though we didn't see Benoit. Maybe he was tired from yesterday.

Also, on a side note, I can't remember who broached the subject (may have been you gp) of Perralta not being at home to guide in the runner.....well I was listening to KNBR this morning and Kruk had an interesting angle.....he thought Fielder had the mindset of 'blow up Posey if the opportunity presents itself' on his mind.

Yeah, I mentioned Peralta, but that came directly from the guys at MLB Network who broke down that play expertly. Hard to say what Fielder had in mind, but watching the replay, i never once thought he looked like he was going hunting for Posey. I even said a silient thank you to him for respecting the MVP.

I was thinking that too. Along with Kemp.

Oh that fat fuck DEFINITELY did. If he had slid to the outside portion of the plate (and everybody in the world knows Posey has been taught to swipe tag and leave that lane clear) he'd have been safe easily.

Fuck him, and his bowling ball celebration, and his shitty baseshambling. But for the DH, we'd be looking at the sunset of his career.

I guess we'll disagree here. I thought he was definitely looking for contact, but once MVP set up inside the foul line he knew he couldn't go after him and it was too late for his fat ass to slide outside.

Oh yeah, I have no convincing thoughts on it one way or another. I have ZERO idea what was going on in Fielder's head. I just was throwing out an interesting angle I hadn't thought of. It honestly happened so quick I was just thankful. I never really thought about it again other than "thank God the events went down the way they did". Then the MLB Network gang (that you shared with me) brought up a great point about Perralta and I also heard Kruk's idea this morning. Just wanted to bring the idea's together for discussion.
