Which article? If you are talking about Broaddus, I read his article no he called it a mistake by Romo, just like pretty much everyone but you.

Show me where I said anything other than Romo was great on Sunday. However, I can also admit he made a mistake.

Broaduss in a section called upon further review- he breaks down 3 plays from the game- the third play is Romos INT. Im not saying he didnt play his part in the pick because he was ultimately the one who threw it, however there were a few things that went wrong on the play. It is shown from a view above the field. There is also a very good reason why he got sacked on the play before. Its over , lets get ready for the Skins which have a good pass rush and should be a good test for the OLine.

Upon Further Review: Week 5

pick it up at the 2 minute mark

OK, now where on that did I see that it was someone else's fault? Protection was good and threw to the wrong receiver. He messed up on that lay. Still don't get how you must attribute anything negative to anyone but Romo...

Really?? It was a 3 man rush . Tyron Smith got blown straight into the backfield. Travis Fredrick got beat as well. Was Murray suppose to chip right there??? Was Waters suppose to help ? Did Romo see Murray at all? Anyway he stepped up and hit Tyron Smith as he was throwing, not to mention Leary crossing to help Smith right in his face along with some back up NT that swam right by Fredrick. The pass protection was terrible considering it was a 3 man rush. Now for the route. 1st of all why in the hell is Escobar in the game in the first place. 2 rookies on the field in the last 2 minutes. Bad coaching or was it because Beasley screwed up the play before and ran behind the umpire which changes positions in the final five minutes of the game now which caused Romo to pump and hold. Well it was weak ass Escobar running the route and he gets pushed off eight yards down the field- flag anyone? - no - but instead of running a straight line he ran a curve ball. Romo played his part yes- but he had plenty of help fucking that play up. Just my take

Garrett says Romo should have slid right- well if he slides right the NT gets him. Look it was crunch time. He threw another pick. The gorilla is getting bigger and bigger. Brady threw a game ender as well, so did Wilson. Havent seen anything on those. I know its not about them.

It's no secret that I am a Romo fan, and I believe he can get it done for us in Dallas, but on that last play it doesn't matter if Escobar didn't run a PERFECT route or that Smith got pushed back. Romo had two options better than trying to get the ball to a over covered Escobar. The best option was Murray who was in perfect position to get the ball to. Option 2 would have simply to take off running to the left side after Smith is pushed past him. Escobar was cover too well for Romo to try to throw the ball to.

Romo's a top 10 QB when the game isn't on the line. The alternative is Orton so live with whatever mistakes Romo, (or someone else), makes and move on to the next game.

Option 3 throw it away if need be. A QB always has some pressure. If the line gives him enough time to throw a 10 yard crossing pattern like that they did their job. One person messed up on that play and one person only. He should not have thrown that ball. I don't expect you to admit it, but I think the fact that EVERYONE else does, proves my point. Do you immediately think about who else to blame after a big int, or is there at least a splits second where you admit Romo messed up.

Me too on both and pointing out when he messes up doesn't change that.

By the way your option 3 doesnt work. You want it 3rd and 16. We had already gotten 1 of those I think so the odds which are maybe 5 percent just got lower. Yes, lets punt the ball and watch Manning take 2 plays to get wherever he wants to get.

3rd and 16 vs. an INT. You make the call. Beside he would have made it a lot further than 3rd an 16. The DE was still going up field, plus he had the G and Murray to block for him.

J you and I are all that far apart on what we think of Romo. Yes, I am higher on him than you, but we both see that he has the talent to win but he does make his share of mistakes. This last game I think we are in 100% agreement. Tony didn't lose us that game, the defense did. But the Int is Romo fault. Sorry if RomoOwens doesn't agree but Romo chose to throw the ball to a covered receiver. Yes Smith was pushed back by the DE, but with out a lot of pressure up the middle Romo had plenty of time and the opportunity to make a better decision.

Thought you had responded to me. But option 3 was still better than throwing it into coverage. If that was 4th down I'd have ZERO complaints, but Romo made a bad choice.

IMO Romo is a top 10 QB period. Does he make mistakes? sure but they're not all when the game is "on the line", and many of the Dallas late game mistakes Tony get credit for are not his.
