"With pay" what's the deterrent, except for 2 starts? I will give them credit for making it 10 games so the will miss a couple starts. Maybe if they incentives in their contracts.

I just heard on the Cardinal broadcast that if a pitcher is suspended, the team cannot replace him on the roster. That might hurt a bit.

This is as it should be. I've never liked the idea of allowing a team to replace a player that is suspended for any reason.
